President Becker Travels to Ukraine, Russia and Israel

Shalom.

I am back from 'over the pond' and totally exhausted from a schedule that went from morning until night. In Russia and Ukraine they never know when to say, "Enough...it's time for bed!" Likewise in Israel, Andre my host and partner in the ministry to Holocaust survivors, is most definitely a workaholic. In both venues I had about 3-4 nights of very little to no sleep. The plane trips are always exhausting with no sleep, packed in and cramped up, with the added feature of a loss of 9 hours due to time zone changes. I stayed up until 10:00 PM last night (nearly impossible) to try to get back into a normal sleep routine! Then at 2:00 AM I suddenly awoke with a major leg cramp that always makes it necessary to get out of bed immediately to plant the affected leg firmly on the floor to stop the excruciating and increasing process of pain. However, I couldn't do so immediately because my legs were wrapped up in the covers! Result: I could not put any weight on the leg, and could not sleep because the leg warned of another bout of reoccurring cramps through the night. Today my gate is that of an old man, and my stomach is upset---and that's the whole megillah!

But, in regards to what took place in Russia, Ukraine, and Israel, most was awesome beyond any of my wildest dreams and possible expectations! Let me say, in Israel God has opened up for us doors and opportunities unheard of for Believers attempting to reach out in Israel. We have amazing favor with the Israeli Government's Social Agencies, as well as in the Knesset with some of its Parliament members. In January and February we could barely get just names with no addresses/phone numbers of ten Holocaust survivors in various cities and municipalities throughout Israel. Today, we have 6000-7000 names, addresses, birth dates, and passport numbers to verify the right person is getting the aid. Every municipality is now cooperating with us, and soon I believe we will have the list of the 80,000 in need.

We have containers from the U.S., and the E.U. coming in as I write---Holland wanted to send us over 40 containers immediately, but we have held them off for now until we are able to handle such an influx of goods. While there, one came in with new clothes and tons of medical supplies and equipment (the medical supplies are going to a hospital---they're thrilled). I personally went into the apartments of 3 large hostels of 200 plus people per hostel--- the Holocaust survivors were in tears as they expressed that no one has ever done anything for them. It's a national scandal right now---since the early 1950's of Germany's large pay out for reparations to the Holocaust survivors (given to the Israeli government) nothing has gotten to them as it still sits in banks, and/or been used to build Israel's infrastructure, etc. They are waiting for all of them to die so that can use the money for other "stuff"! We (God's Grace International with our affiliate organization which GGI funds almost entirely) were the ones that went to the Jerusalem Post in Israel about this scandal, and then the JP in turn did the investigation which resulted in getting out to the Israeli public! Israelis are furious with their government and positively amazed by our humanitarian efforts. I was on the TV News as we distributed 250 food parcels at a time---they only allow that maximum number for security. The one city was being hit with rockets just before and one half hour after we were there. Yes, we surely did pray for God's protection prior to our venturing out. News reporters are following us everywhere we go. As I stated, I was on Channel 2 of Israel's main news station, as well as Channel 9 Russian news station. Went to the Knesset and now am working with a Parliament member in regards to Holocaust survivors and needy children. I got home to find an email from the Knesset member thanking me for our partnership of on site involvement and financial assistance, asking that we continue in our compassionate endeavors. We plan to do so with monthly allotments of food, etc throughout their remaining years. Presently we are feeding 2000, and aim to add 1500-2000 per month to the list as funds come in---and they will. Everything is snow-balling as we move forward. People of gifting and financial ability are coming out of the woodwork approaching us that they want to join us to be involved in various ways. We are working on gathering an army of volunteers to take the parcels of food to the Holocaust survivors' apartments, as well as distribution centers. This coming week we are starting up training classes on the right and sensitive ways to serve the people with consistent visitation in developing relationships while instilling a sense of dignity that has been denied them. This is becoming big, and much bigger than we can handle humanly speaking, as we see God putting it all together.

With that I must say, I and many others sense this has much to do with the return of Messiah in how we handle the Jewish survivors of the Holocaust's suffering and need in their final hours. Many Israelis are outraged over this crime of a second Holocaust on these survivors. Many are puzzled and in awe of Jews who believe in Yeshua taking hold and doing something about this problem of neglect---many are also in awe of the Gentile believers joining in! They wonder why the Jewish populace of Israel or in the nations have not stepped in to help these of great need---Where is Orthodox Judaism at this hour? Where is their concern and involvement? Many Israelis are at a place of questioning, and I personally have seen rebirths because of the compassion shown by Believers. I have been in two major revivals in my life where I was greatly affect and involved---and I can say that I sense revival coming soon in the Land of Israel!

I could go on and on, but must get back to sleep for a couple of hours...
